About the author

Veronica Dauber is known as ‘Ronnie’ to her friends, and is the author of Mudslide, a young adult adventure novel that will keep readers of all ages on the edge of their seat.

PERSONAL LIFE

Ronnie lives in Hamilton, Ontario Canada with her husband and seven children, three sons and four daughters.  She has seven grandsons and five granddaughters and three cats. Ronnie is currently on leave from her professional career as court reporter due to injuries sustained in a car accident, but is utilizing her time, talents and enthusiasm to pursue her heart’s desire as a professional writer.

Her personal interests besides her family include gardening in her outdoor gardens and tending to her indoor exotic plant collection. She enjoys cooking and creating recipes, and prefers eating home-cooked meals rather than going out to restaurants.  Her favorite metal is yellow gold; her favorite gems are diamonds and blue and purple amethists; and her favorite treat is chocolate.

She is well acquainted with unexpected weather conditions while camping, and it was two of  her sons who were the initial inspiration for her first novel, Mudslide. She has elaborated on their experiences and added some of her own personality and past adventures to create an exciting novel of a camping holiday that becomes a nightmare.
